I am a long time ESL teacher and KS2/KS3 tutor. I create professional handouts and activities which do not require any alteration, simply print and copy. I make my resources user-friendly, meaning they are easy for pupils to understand, effective at teaching the target skill and entertaining for pupils to use. Where colour is used, the worksheets generally can successfully be printed in black and white unless otherwise stated.

Students should mingle and ask each other questions in order to fill in the squares with a name. The person to get a full line first wins.
This is ideal for the first lesson of an adult ESL group so that students (and teacher) can get to know each other, and refresh their speaking skills in a relaxed manner before proper lessons begin.

To practise use of conditional verb forms and language about beauty and fashion. Ideal as part of a unit with vocab on beauty and language.
This can be used for either an ESL class to encourage discussion or a teen class related to entrepreneurial activities.
It’s a worksheet with open ended questions to help students in small groups come up with a business idea. This should be discussed thoroughly in order to have a very clear idea that can be presented to the rest of the class.
Extension idea - have students create an advert for their new business
Powerpoint presentation with integrated youtube video
Topic: Body language
Target audience: Teen ESL learners
Lesson:
START - first slide - general discussion questions about what body language is
VOCAB - move forwards to video - first slide has a list with blanks. Tell students to write this in their notebook and fill it in while waiting.
Play the video - students need to write the word if they know it
Check - make sure all students understand what the words mean
Brainstorm other body language words
PAIRWORK
Students are asked to brainstorm at least one adjective that connects to each body language word (for example sad - frown)
Move to the next slide and collect students’ ideas. The point here is not right or wrong answers, but for students to remember what the words mean and to justify why they associate each action/gesture with the adjective.
CLASS OR SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION
Move to the last slide - as a class or in small groups, have students discuss the questions which all relate to body language
Presentation and handout about Canadian landscapes.
Includes vocabulary to discuss Canadian landscapes, maps and images for discussion. Also includes basic facts about Canada for students to discuss what interests them, how it’s different from their own country, etc. Final slide includes a list of discussion questions.

3 worksheets to use for low level learners or ESL pupils, to practise the correct present and past forms of ‘be’
1: completed colour coded table presenting grammar - blue for present, green for past - with gap fill questions for each pronoun on each side of the table. Pupils do not have to decide if the sentence is present or past as all present are organised below the present grammar table, and all past are below the past grammar table
2: same colour coded grammar table as above, but with missing words: pupils must complete the table with the missing words (am, is, are, was, were), then complete 10 gap fill questions based on the table. Present and past are mixed, and some require the pronoun, some the verb to be completed.
3: 2 quizzes - this sheet should be cut in half so that pupils’ answers are not influenced by the other quiz. It can be used as a starter to check ability, or after the first 2 in order to test new skills
Speaking exercise for English language learners, to be projected on a screen and/or printed as a handout.
Topic: SPORT
Each picture has 2 pages - the first is an image alone for students to describe, the second has specific questions to answer in relation to the picture. Pictures cover different sports and include mixes of male and female players, individual and groups, to allow a wide use of language.
Speaking exercises in the format of the English speaking exam, part of the Polish Matura exam (similar to A-levels).
Includes all parts on the topic of restaurants: starter questions, pictures to discuss and follow-up questions.
The worksheet is set up in a way that it can be used in pairs to practise exam-style speaking questions.
Please note: instructions are in Polish as done on the actual exam, so this is rather only suitable for Polish students!
